When you live in a tiny space everything counts, and having kids it can be hard to downsize the space needed to have for books, paper, pens and pencils.  The more that fits inside the Ipad the better it is on space and functionality in the home. Apps have come a long way to making it easier to store everything you need for school inside the Ipad

Education.com has a premium version on the App that you can write on the screen and it will type the letters for you. This is a good way to get writing skills in without having to carry around pen and paper.

We try and get our handwriting in as much as possible and every app counts.

Time For Learning.com is a great place to start if your homeschooling elementary years or in high school.  They have monthly subscriptions or a yearly plan. They are a state credited learning program that you can use on your Ipad but works best on a laptop. We’ve done three years with Time for Learning, kindergarten – 2nd grade. They offer interactive learning, videos and keep your scores for transcripts. They keep good records so you have reports on your child and his/her learning progress.

IXL is a online learning tool that separates the information your learning into the section that are required to learn by state and grade. This program has a complete curriculum that can be learned on a tablet. The app is really nice to use because it allows the child to write with their finger and it turns it into text. That is only available with the app.

Writing with paper and pen has been an issue for us because we don’t have the space to put paper. This IXL program helps with writing skills and allows for the Pen that’s a mouse on the Ipad Pro.
